I watch you fade.
You flicker in and out of my memories like a flam.
I hear your voice.
You're tellin me a story from before we ever met.
I should listen.
I should care, but I'll forget.
I never meant to drive a wedge; push you away from me
I scroll through pictures, see faces come and go.
Feels like we shouldered enough weight to build a home.
It must mean something - when I'm asked to think of the future - I see nothing.
I'm starin into the void.
Is this really all there is?
Is there nothing after this?
Do I collapse and fade; will I be worn away?
Will it be like I didn't exist?
Now I sit and watch my friends build lives, and fill them up with hope.
I've got nothin to show, and I'm all alone.
Trying to find the sign of substance in my life / No matter what I try, these thoughts just won't subside.
Will I collapse and fade or be worn away, I get lost losing myself
The London band's new album is a vibrant postcard from southern Italy, boosted by brass, strings, and pizzica percussion from local players. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 14, 2024
A hushed and low-lit EP from this Melbourne musician, where dreamlike melodies drift across a bed of tender guitar. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 19, 2023
Musically this feels more experimental for La Dispute reminding me of their Here, Hear releases. Very atmospheric and easy to lose your self in. Perfect for the next time you’re contemplating your existence. (Also found out the guitarist builds his own pedals and used them on this record; neato!) Mikey
